Sporting Plage is the beach positioned just after the Blue Beach Hotel, if you are walking from the west.
It is probably the nearest beach to the famous Palace de la Mediterranee Hotel (Palais de la Mediterranee). This is the impressive white building with the art deco facade. The Hotel was originally built in 1930, but was restored to its full glory in 2004. It is a five-star, exclusive hotel, with nine floors of luxury and opulence.
This area of the Promenade des Anglais is close to the heart of the city, so the area is well placed for visitors. As you walk west towards Nice Vieux, the next beach you reach is the Ruhl Plage.
