Saint Paul de Vence. This shot was taken from just within the exterior wall. As you look around, you can see the tiny, narrow, stepped streets and alleys of this picturesque ancient village. Many people do still live in this village and many more use it to run cafes, galleries and gift shops. It is these people's cars which you can see on this shot. Visitors are required to leave theirs and walk.
As well as paces to eat, drink and buy artwork, there are also three museums in the village: these include a local history museum, St Paul's museum (with art exhibitions) and the Maeght Foundation, which is in a wood, just outside the village.
