The Port is just a few minutes walk from the Old Town and is well worth a visit. Here, you will find many exclusive shops and restaurants, although it feels quieter and less touristique than the rest of the city. The port area itself is great if you like seeing how the other half live. We gazed, open mouthed at some amazing, huge and expensive boats there.
From the port, you can take a ferry to Corsica daily in High Season. We were there in March and the only trips on offer were hour long excursions of the Cote D'Azur, although we did see two cruise ships dock there for the day. In summer, you can take a day trip to the popular cities along the coast, such as Cannes and Monaco.
