We enjoyed our visit to Cimiez - it was extremely pleasant to leave the city behind for a few hours and enjoy the fresher air on the top of Cimiez Hill. There is an easy bus service to here and plenty of taxis, coach trips etc.
The Monastery here has a delightful garden, which we wandered around, gazing down at the view. The convent itself is the site of the Franciscan Museum and where you can gain an insight into the rather austere life of the Franciscan monks.
