At Cimiez, as well as this pretty, walled Franciscan garden and a Roman amphitheatre, you can also visit the Franciscan monastery and the Matisse museum. Henri Matisse is bured in the graveyard here, as is Raoul Dufy. Inside the monastery you can viewsacred woks of art, such as paintings by Louis Brea and important religious documents. The Matisse Museum hosts a collection of works by the artist who used to live in the city of Nice from 1918 until 1954.
